If you're looking for something edgy or adult-oriented then Parker's X-Men: First Class won't satiate that need so you better scale back those expectations and just enjoy the PG-13 variety that this series is more than equipped to offer. Those are the only reasons I could think of in the off-chance you're incapable of enjoying this series. So X-Men: First Class is definitely kid-friendly with lots of clean and fun action scenes and comedic moments that would delight the child in you unless you're too much of a cynic or maybe a little bit dead inside. I've seen the young heroes in that cartoon grow up as a unit and as individuals and it looks like Parker's own take on the Original Core Five for this title will be just as gratifying for me as it was back when I used to watch YJ. Four issues into this Jeff Parker's series and I realized that reading this title is much like watching the Young Justice cartoon which is a show I have so much intense adoration for.
